Topic Developmental Assessment of an infant
Select an infant in your community or in a clinical setting , discuss your findings and include the following aspect of the child’s development. (a) Review of child’s growth and development including physical, cognitive, developmental milestones achievement. (b) Identify nutritional needs attainment of proper nutrition. (c) Discuss parent – child interaction, communication, and discipline ; including play and recreational activities . (d) Identify and discuss any cultural implications on this child’s development. (e) Recognize child safety strategies use in the child environment or the lack thereof: – compare and contrast the assessment findings. – Discuss variations from norm. – Identify a nurse intervention for each finding that will improve the child outcome.
